Beaches occurs as 1988 movie adapted by Mary Agnes Donoghue from the novel Beaches by Iris Rainer Dart. It was directed by Garry Marshall, and stars Bette Midler, Barbara Hershey, John Heard, Spalding Gray, Lainie Kazan, Mayim Bialik and Marcie Leeds. Tagline: ''Friends are & last however there's universally of these that you're stuck by using for life.'' Rich people girl Hillary Whitney (Leeds) & little one performing artist Cecilia "CC" Carol Bloom (Bialik) meet on the beach at Atlantic City, New Jersey, & become friends, growing higher (Hershey & Midler) to trend lines every more and vie for the love of the equivalent human. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Art Direction (Albert Brenner and Garrett Lewis). A beach home in the film is located in Crystal Cove State Park.
